Run with Us – Pasadena put on a wonderful event. It was a family event and it was a blast!
The first mile wasn’t that bad, we were walking on pavement and there was a slight hill to walk down. Then we went into the mud to walk up hill. Thankfully, it wasn’t slippery or anything. After we conquered the hill, we went all the way down a gravel hill and walked through grass to the sidewalk. We walked down the sidewalk, which was a wonderful rest time. Back into the grass we went until we got to the entrance of the rolling dirt hills.
This was the most challenging part of the course. It was a steep climb before it leveled off to give you a little rest before another steep climb. After the steep climbs was the gravel hill we originally went down. At this point we are at about 2.5 mile mark. After that it was all pavement to the finish line.
The views of Dodger Stadium, the views of Los Angeles, and the sunrise made it all worth it. I wasn’t breathing hard during the course, I wasn’t sore afterwards, but that course seriously kicked my butt. I have made a goal to conquer this course next year. Here’s to running hills and conquering them.
I donated three pairs of old shoes to MORE Foundation Group. I love donating to charity. It was a terrific way to start off Christmas.
I want to wish all of you a Christmas filled with love, peace, good health, happiness, and prosperity. Mele Kalikimaka!!
See you in 2015; time to conquer those hills.
